End of Watch – Detective Jeremy Brown, Clark County Deputy Sheriffs Guild

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we send our prayers to the family, friends, and brothers and sisters in law enforcement after the murder of another WACOPS member at the hands of violent criminals in our state.  As said by Tacoma Local Union #6, “Deputy Jeremy Brown gave the ultimate sacrifice protecting and serving his community and died a hero.”

The WACOPS Benevolent Fund, an account funded through member contributions, will be sending a check to support funeral related expenses.  Our national partner, the International Union of Police Associations (IUPA), will also be sending a check of support.

As we learn more about ways you can contribute, we will let you know.  Be careful to verify any calls for contributions and make sure you only give your support to duly authorized entities.

You may write checks to Jill Brown and mail them to:

These are difficult times.  There is no sugar coating of it.  You are brave and honorable men and women, asked to do terrifically dangerous jobs that few understand.  Washington just experienced an extremely violent weekend including the death of one of Washington’s finest.  As new laws become effective, communication is stretched thin, and opinions abound, please be careful.

If you feel you’d like to talk to someone, please use resources available to you. Please remember that you are not alone.  Talk to each other.  Check in with each other.  You can also contact Safe Call Now (www.safecallnowusa.org) 206-459-3020 and have a confidential conversation with another experienced first responder.

Please be safe out there and don’t take any unnecessary risks.

Gone but not forgotten. Rest in peace Deputy Brown – EOW July 23, 2021
